Terms of Reference
Infrastructure Sub-Committee
1. To monitor development on priority infrastructure projects which will significantly impact the economic and social development of Guyana and to obtain all relevant documentation/proposals on these. Areas to be covered will include roads, bridges, ports, sea defenses, telecommunications, and energy.
2. To critically review all plans and existing situations about agreed priority areas and make a recommendation for improvement.
3. To hold discussions with key government functionaries, consultants, investors, organizations, etc., on proposed developments to obtain a clear understanding of what is intended and communicate the views of the PSC as necessary.
4. To consult with other key stakeholders on proposed developments and give due consideration to their views and positions.
5. To identify and develop positions on infrastructure which are necessary to promote growth and development and where necessary improve the well-being of the population.
6. To communicate to the PSC Council, the wider business community, and other stakeholders’ information on significant infrastructure developments.
7. To critically review all plans, designs for rehabilitation works and oversee maintenance and repairs at the Private Sector Commissions Building
